The Cup Studios is a one person coffee roastery in El Paso, Texas, run by Moises, who grew up in Colombia and spent a lot of his time near his grandparents’ farm in Guarne, a town just outside Medellin, Colombia. Every coffee is roasted in small batches in El Paso, often to order, with a focus on bringing out natural sweetness and body instead of bitterness.

The lineup covers single origin coffees from Ethiopia, Kenya and Guatemala, a Colombian EA decaf, and espresso blends such as Espresso Monkey, a medium dark roast with chocolate and hazelnut notes. The range runs from delicate Gesha to bold espresso roasts.

Orders are placed online for pickup or local delivery in El Paso, in a choice of bag sizes. Each coffee has a list of recommended brew methods to expose coffee drinkers to try it in other brew methods. At times, roasts that fall slightly short of the roaster’s standard are sold at a reduced price, known as oopsie bags.

The Cup Studios also runs a mobile coffee truck with a commercial espresso machine, available for events and catering in the El Paso area.
